In accordance with Article 144.044 of the Agriculture Code recording, a brand must be renewed every ten (10) years. Brands must be filed in the county where the animals are located. Senate Bill No. 1389

Fees: $16.00 per animal and an additional fee of $5.00 for each additional brand on that animal. (Example: Left hip of Cattle is $16.00, adding a brand at the left shoulder would be $5.00 additional).

Collin County Clerk's Office will keep a record of the brand in that office. A card of the mark and brand will be sent to the Texas State Cattle Association.
