Incited by the recent periods of heavy rain, Mike McClatchy, the County Road and Bridge Superintendent, and Steven Deffibaugh, the County Fire Marshal, recently approached the GIS team with the task of mapping road closures within the County. Below is an example of a Road Closure map we have created. The maps are updated upon road closure status changes. Updated maps are distributed to emergency response companies throughout Collin County and serve as an effective visual presentation of road closures throughout Collin County.
