West Nile Virus Concern

Report Concerns About West Nile Virus

Collin County Health Care Services (CCHCS) works closely with health officials in cities within Collin County to identify and eliminate places where mosquitoes that may carry West Nile Virus breed. For more information, please visit our West Nile information page.

Please Note: You DO NOT need to report dead birds to the health department. Dead birds can be disposed of by placing in a plastic bag and depositing in the regular trash. Never touch a dead bird with your hands and always wash your hands after disposing of a dead bird.

This Alert Collin County Health Care Services website allows you to notify the County Health Department regarding concerns about West Nile Virus. When you submit information about an area you believe places Collin County residents at risk, the appropriate city or county health official will investigate. CCHCS does not accept anonymous reports.
