October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Each year, hundreds of women in Collin County seek help from abusers in their family. In 2001, a coalition was created to assist victims and to help put a stop to domestic violence.
The Collin County Council on Family Violence brings a number of agencies together, including the Collin County Sheriff's Office and the Collin County District Attorney's Office, to combat this issue.
