Offices Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday: All county offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, for the holiday. This includes parks offices, public works, courts and all other administrative offices. Offices will re-open Monday, Nov. 27.

Partners in Local Historical Preservation and Education

The Collin County Historical Coalition is an umbrella organization for all of the historical groups in the county. Its purpose is to encourage, support and promote all of the historical groups in the county and their activities. The Collin County Historical Commission sponsors the Historical Coalition.

At present all Collin County Historical Coalition meetings are held at MPAC (the old courthouse on the square in McKinney).

A group becomes a member of the Historical Coalition by attending a meeting. There are no dues. A group that is a member of the Historical Coalition and is a 501 c (3) non-profit is eligible to apply for the Collin County Historical Commission Grant Program.
