Historical Markers

A county as rich in history as Collin will naturally have a number of historical markers, and we do, including city/town, county, state and federal designations spread across our region.

If you want to explore and learn more local history, you can start by looking at the new marker book described below. Or, if you are interested in applying for any of the various available historical markers/designations, check out the links below for more information.

Historical Marker Book

The Collin County Historical Commission has just published a revised edition of their county historical markers book which will be available online soon. In it you’ll find pictures, descriptions and even GPS coordinates for all of the various historical markers within Collin County.
