Traveling Exhibits: Collin County libraries, museum, organizations, events and schools may reserve a freestanding Traveling Exhibit to share on site with your patrons.
New Traveling Exhibit – “Rural Sound” From the whisper of wheat to the jive of radio talkshows, sounds were always present in rural communities. The audio sensations began with parlor organs and church pianos and evolved into the complexity of phonographs and electrical gadget radios. This exhibit traces the technology and audio pathways of “Rural Sound” from the 1830s to the 1960s.
The Collin County Farm Museum will work with organizations, events and schools to bring the museum to you. For details, please contact Jennifer Rogers, Museum Coordinator at 972-548-5752.
