Online payments now accepted for fines at JP-1 Court
McKinney’s Justice of the Peace (Precinct 1) now accepts online credit or debit card payments for fines, which can save a trip to the court -- and a lot of time and worry about fine deadlines or a warrant being issued for non-payment.
To make a payment online, search for your case using the Justice Court Case Search. Once you find and view the details of your case, a "Make Payment" button will be available on the right side of the screen. There is a $6 convenience fee for each online payment transaction, which covers the government’s processing costs. The online system accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
Those paying fines after business hours and who have an active warrant on their case, should know that the warrant cannot be recalled until the next business day. Unfortunately, juveniles cannot make online payments, and will still have to come into the office to make their payments by cash, money order or credit/debit card.
For further questions, contact the folks in the JP-1 offices at 972-548-4125. JP-1 offices are open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
