SARS Update for Collin County

(McKinney, TX) - To date, Collin County's Health Department is reporting one suspected case and one potential case of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). Both cases are being investigated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If the conditions change, undated information will be posted. Even though these are not confirmed cases, information about SARS can be found at www.cdc.gov.

In both cases, the patients are not hospitalized, but they are being treated from home. Their treatment is based upon guidelines set forth by the CDC.
