Public Works to Focus on Storm Repairs for Next 30 Days

Jon Kleinheksel, Collin County Public Works Director, has announced a thirty day suspension of the "50 Miles Per Year Asphalt Program" in order to focus on repairs to county roads and infrastructure caused by the recent severe storms. The asphalt program's objective is to pave every mile of county road within ten years, and is now scheduled to resume in August 2007.

Public Works is currently surveying road and infrastructure damage from the recent rains and initiating and scheduling repairs as needed.
