Commissioners Court Workshop to Meet in Murphy

(McKinney, TX) -- The Collin County Commissioners Court will hold a special session at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20th, 2008 at Murphy's City Hall, 206 N. Murphy Rd., Murphy, Texas. Tuesday’s special session is open to the public and part of an ongoing series of meetings held in different cities throughout the year to make it easier for county residents interested in attending. Commissioners Court meetings are normally held during business hours in the county government center in McKinney.

A sampling of items up for discussion on May 20th include:

• A presentation by the North Texas Tollway Authority regarding alignment of the Dallas North Tollway extension, Phase 4A;
• An update of ongoing programs at the County-owned Adventure Camp; and,
• A discussion on new technology that provides timely alerts from the National Weather Service for severe weather warnings in unincorporated areas of Collin County.
