Regional Healthcare Partnership to host stakeholder meetings

Bookmark and Share

Update: A second stakeholder meeting on this topic, initially scheduled for Oct. 9, has been postponed. Another date will be posted soon.

Two stakeholder meetings will provide information on potential funding opportunities for new, innovative healthcare projects.

Collin County, serving in its capacity as the anchor for Regional Healthcare Partnership (RHP) 18, could receive an approximate $1.3 million allocation from the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. RHP 18 serves Collin, Grayson and Rockwall counties. The initiative is part of the Medicaid 1115 Waiver project.

The Texas Healthcare Transformation and Quality Improvement Program allows the state to expand Medicaid managed care while preserving hospital funding, provides incentive payments for health care improvements and directs more funding to hospitals that serve large numbers of uninsured patients.

A Regional Plan submitted in 2013 was approved by the state in 2013. That plan identifies partners, community needs, proposed projects and funding distribution. Collin County also is responsible for seeking regional stakeholder engagement.

One stakeholder meeting will be conducted for interested healthcare providers within the RHP 18 region to discuss a potential funding opportunity and a request for proposal:

Monday, Aug. 28, 4 p.m.

LifePath Systems
1515 Heritage Drive
McKinney, TX 75069

Proposals will be evaluated next month and must be accompanied by identification of an IGT source. Information regarding proposal submissions will be available at the Aug. 28 meeting.
