Collin County West Nile Virus Web Pages Now Available
(McKinney, TX) –Collin County’s West Nile Virus (WNV) web pages are up and running: go to http://www.collincountytx.gov/healthcare_services/Pages/west_nile.aspx to access our education, prevention and reporting information.
The Collin County Health Authority has begun posting weekly status reports on the Updated Information page (http://public1.co.collin.tx.us/westnile/default.aspx) showing the number of mosquito pools tested, number of positive results and number of human WNV cases in the county, as well as a breakout by city/town and for the unincorporated areas. So far we have no positive pools nor human cases in the county. The Information page also lists the individual contacts for follow-up information – any municipal-related queries should go to the individual cities, with questions about the unincorporated areas going to the county contacts.
Please keep the above-listed links available to access the most current WNV information available.
