Commissioner Jack Hatchell elected NCTCOG President

(McKinney, TX) - Collin County Commissioner Jack Hatchell was elected President of the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) executive board on Friday during the 37th annual General Assembly meeting in Arlington.

Hatchell, who previously served as the council’s vice president, has been an active member of the organization. In addition to serving as the executive board’s vice president, he has also served as secretary of the NCTCOG’s Regional Transportation Council.

“I have certainly enjoyed my work with the Council of Governments. The relationship this organization has with the local governments in north, central Texas is extremely important,” says Hatchell.

The former Plano City Council member became a Collin County Commissioner in 1987 representing Precinct 4. Hatchell is a civil engineer who earned both his bachelor and master’s degrees from Texas A&M University. He and his wife, Pat, reside in Plano. They have two daughters.

The North Central Texas Council of Governments is a voluntary association of local governments established to assist local governments in planning for common needs, cooperating for mutual benefit, and coordinating for sound regional development.
