Garcia voted President-elect of National Hispanic Prosecutors' Association
(McKinney, TX) – Collin County prosecutor Norma Garcia was recently voted President-elect of the National Hispanic Prosecutors’ Association. Norma has been an Assistant District Attorney with the Collin County District Attorney’s Office since January 2002.
“I was thrilled when the NHPA board nominated me as President-elect. I was honored when prosecutors from all over the nation applauded me for my efforts and success with the organization at this year’s convention.,” says Garcia. “I will say that my success with NHPA is due to District Attorney John Roach, who allowed me to actively pursue the goals of NHPA and attend this year’s Hispanic National Bar Convention in San Jose, California. It was at the convention that Judge Roach was recognized for his support and contributions to NHPA.”
Garcia received her undergraduate degree in Communications and Elementary/Bilingual Education from the University of Texas - Pan American. She is a December 2000 graduate of Oklahoma City University School of Law where she served as President for the Hispanic Law Student Association.
Garcia is a member of the Texas District & County Attorney’s Association,
Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association and serves
on the board of the National Hispanic Prosecutors Association as President-elect.
She is originally from Mission (Hidalgo County), Texas and is the mother of
Priscilla Aynae Saenz and Sergio Omar Saenz, Jr.
