Collin County Law Library to celebrate 25th anniversary
(McKinney, TX) – The Collin County Law Library is pleased to
announce that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of
a formal law library for Collin County.
In December 1978, Jerry Lewis, who is now a County Court-at-Law Judge, proposed a law library for Collin County to the Commissioners Court, which approved the request. A generous gift of books from the private library of Judge Tom Ryan and his wife formed the foundation for the Law Library’s current collection. The library now houses a full Texas and federal legal collection.
A public celebration of this event will be held Tuesday, January 13th from 5 – 7 p.m. in the main lobby of the courthouse at 210 S. McDonald Street in McKinney.
