Relief available for those who sustained storm damage

(McKinney, TX) – Home Depot in Wylie is offering relief to those families in Collin County who sustained damage from Thursday’s storm. The company will donate items such as plywood, rakes, gloves and garbage bags to assist with the clean-up and repair of property.

To qualify, the damage must be verified. County residents who sustained storm damage may contact the Collin County Fire Marshal’s Office at 972-548-5576 or the Collin County Sheriff’s Office dispatch during non-business hours. A fire investigator will then verify the damage and fax a request to Home Depot.

At least eight Collin County homes are non-habitable as a result of the storm. Numerous homes sustained minimal to moderate damage and at least 16 homes sustained significant electrical problems. Damage assessments are continuing.
