Collin County Health Services to celebrate National Public Health Week

(McKinney, TX) – Collin County Health Services (CCHS) will participate in National Public Health Week, April 5-9, through various events Monday through Thursday.

The schedule is as follows:

Monday - CCHS will provide TB skin test screenings for residents of the Samaritan Inn in McKinney from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tuesday – CCHS will hold a ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. for a new wing of the clinic. An open house will be held from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and include: substance abuse counseling, give-aways of home drug-testing kits, fire emergency equipment and techniques for breast self-examinations. The winner of a countywide poster contest for fourth-graders will also be announced. The theme is “Good Health is Contagious.” The winner will receive a classroom pizza party.

Wednesday – CCHS and the Baylor Mobile Breast Imaging Center will offer Mammograms outside the health services clinic from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. (THIS EVENT IS ALREADY AT MAXIMUM CAPACITY.) Employees will wear pink ribbons in honor of breast cancer awareness.

Thursday – CCHS will offer childhood and travel immunizations from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.

All persons who receive CCHS services during the week will receive a Chick-fil-A coupon.
CCHS is located at 825 N. McDonald Street in McKinney.
