Collin County administers 2,000 flu vaccinations today

(McKinney, TX) - After receiving an additional supply of vaccine on Thursday, Collin County Healthcare Services administered 2,000 influenza vaccinations today. Health officials opened the doors at 7 a.m., one-hour earlier than anticipated. On average, nurses administered 300 vaccinations per hour.

Although the County received 2,300 doses of the vaccine, 300 were set-aside for at-risk indigent patients. If the county receives an additional supply of the vaccine, information will be updated on the county web site, www.collincountytexas.gov and on the Health Department message line, (972) 548-5525.
