Collin County convenience site opening changed for July
(McKinney, TX) – Because of the Fourth of July holiday weekend, Collin County’s brush and bulky items collection sites will be open on Saturday, July 10th instead of Saturday, July 3rd. Normally, the convenience sites are open on the first Saturday of each month. Regular dates of operation will resume in August.
The hours of operation are 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The sites are located at FM 1778 and Business 78 in Copeville, at FM 3356 and FM 455 in Weston and at C.R. 400 and FM 982 in Princeton, which is the busiest site.
There is no charge for Collin County residents who use the sites, but they will be required to show proof of residence. The county accepts general debris such as boards, limbs, mattresses and furniture. The county also accepts freon-charged appliances if the freon recovery certification is attached. Residents may also deposit six vehicle tires per household per year.
