Collin County reminds parents to have their children vaccinated
( McKinney , TX ) – Collin County Health Care Services would like to remind parents to immunize their children soon to avoid the last-minute rush to the doctor's office.
“Parents shouldn't wait until they receive the notice from the school before they have their children immunized,” says Collin County Health Care Services Director Candy Blair. “Immunizations should be a part of a child's regular check-up.”
Collin County Health Services is available for immunizations from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The clinic is located at 825 N. McDonald Street, Suite 130 , in McKinney . Parents will need to bring all vaccinations records. No appointment is necessary.
“We cannot stress enough how important it is for every child to get vaccinated on time,” says Collin County Health Authority Dr. Muriel Marshall. “Immunizations not only protect your child, they also protect your community.”
Collin County Health Care Services would also like to reassure parents of the safety of these immunizations. “Although everyone reacts to shots differently,” says the Program Coordinator for Immunizations Kristi Hooten, “these shots are safe for children!”
For additional information regarding immunizations, please call (972) 548-5500.
