Small pipe rupture prompts road closure in Farmersville area of Collin County

(McKinney, TX) – A portion of a county road in Farmersville has been temporarily shut-down because of a small ruptured pipeline. County Road (CR) 662 is currently shutdown to all traffic, from CR 618 on the north side of the incident to CR 662 on the southern portion of the site.

A KOCH pipeline ruptured this afternoon and has since been turned-off. The site of the rupture is at CR 662, south of CR 618. KOCH personnel and the Farmersville Fire Department are at the scene. The ruptured line is about 150 yards off the roadway in a field. The rupture prompted a small release of Propylene.

There are no homes or businesses in this area that are affected. And, there are no injuries. The road closure is a precaution until crews fix the line. KOCH Pipeline will notify the county when the road reopens to traffic.
