Collin County set to team with cities for first countywide emergency preparedness exercise

(McKinney, TX) - Collin County will lead the first countywide emergency preparedness exercise beginning tomorrow, March 29th. Most cities in Collin County will participate, including volunteer fire departments and emergency responders. In all, several hundred city and county emergency officials, as well as emergency volunteers are expected to participate.

The exercise will be conducted by the Texas Engineering Extension Service and will conclude at the close of business Wednesday.

For exercise purposes only, the Collin County Emergency Operations Center will be activated.
