Collin County Crime Victims Council honors silver anniversary of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week
(McKinney, TX) – The Collin County Crime Victims Council will honor the silver anniversary of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week through programming beginning Monday.
This year’s theme is "Justice Isn’t Served Until Crime Victims Are." The week, which is April 10-16, will include a ceremony at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 11th at the Collin County Courthouse, 210 S. McDonald Street in McKinney. The Collin County Crime Victims Council will host the program; and Collin County Criminal District Attorney John Roach will serve as the keynote speaker. A kindergarten choir from the Holy Love School in McKinney will provide entertainment. The public is invited to attend.
“It’s a time to pay tribute to victims and survivors of crime and those who serve them,” says Collin County Crime Victims Council executive director Sally Stobaugh.
The council will also sponsor a free family violence program, “Components
for Successful Prosecution,” for law enforcement officials in Collin County
on Thursday, April 14th at 1 p.m. in Collin County’s University Drive Courts
