Residents beware: Collin County has not issued a survey despite appearance

(McKinney, TX) – A survey seeking residents’ input on county leadership and services is in no way affiliated with Collin County government. An email was distributed to some county residents over the weekend asking government satisfaction questions. The document, created by an anonymous source, indicates that the sender is “Collin County” with a second listing as collincountygop@hotmail.com. This document is a scam. While the sender does state that the survey has no affiliation with the Collin County Republican Party, it offers no separation from Collin County government.

Residents need to be advised that this is not a county-generated email. Any survey seeking input from Collin County government will come from the Public Information Office or from an elected official.
