Collin County has plenty of volunteers; still in need of specialized medical personnel

(McKinney, TX) – Collin County appreciates the outpouring of time and energy by the hundreds of volunteers assisting victims of Hurricane Katrina. At this point, the county has plenty of volunteers, except for those in the medical field. Specialized physicians, nurses and mental health professionals are still needed in the McKinney area for volunteer service. Persons in the medical profession interested in volunteering may contact the Volunteer Center of North Texas at 214-826-6767. Although we are not in need of volunteers in other areas, they may still register at the volunteer center for future opportunities.
