Collin County Health Care Foundation awards $194,000 in grant funding to nine organizations
(McKinney, TX) – The Collin County Health Care Foundation will award $194,000 in grant funding to be shared by nine non-profit organizations. The Collin County Commissioners Court, acting as foundation trustees, made the decision this morning.
Through a competitive application process, the Collin County Health Care Advisory Board made recommendations to the health care foundation. The recommendations are for projects and programs that were developed in consultation with other agencies and planning groups; that increase coordination and cooperation among agencies; and that address a need in the community.
“Each of these organizations does a remarkable job at providing health care services in Collin County,” explains Collin County Commissioner Phyllis Cole. “We are excited about the projects these organizations have planned for the upcoming year.”
Each of the following organizations will share in grant funding:
This is the third year in which Collin County has provided grant funds to area non-profit health care agencies.
“These organizations fill a void in our communities,” says Collin County Commissioner Jack Hatchell. “It is through their volunteer and non-profit efforts that they improve our neighborhoods and our county.”
