Collin County Schedules Two Additional Public Meetings on Outer Loop Study
(McKinney, TX) – Collin County residents are invited to attend upcoming Public Meetings on the Collin County Outer Loop Study from U.S. 75 to Rockwall County. On Tuesday, October 25, 2005, Collin County Commissioner Jerry Hoagland will host a Public Meeting in Nevada at McClendon Elementary School cafeteria. McClendon Elementary School is located at 601 FM 1138 N in Nevada. On Tuesday, November 1, 2005, Commissioner Joe Jaynes will lead another Public Meeting in Farmersville in the Farmersville High School cafetorium. Farmersville High School is located at 499 Highway 78 N in Farmersville.
The same information about the Collin County Outer Loop Study will be presented at both meetings. Each event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an Open House to provide citizens an opportunity to view exhibits and ask questions of the study team. The Public Meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a technical presentation.
The focus of these meetings will be to provide an update on the study progress since the last Public Meeting.
The Collin County Outer Loop Study was initiated in 2004 to develop consensus on a route to preserve for the future Collin County Outer Loop from U.S. 75 to the Rockwall County line. This study is a continuation of an initial study which began in December 2002 for the section west of U.S. 75.
As the process continues, additional public meetings will be scheduled to provide Collin County residents an opportunity to learn more about the Collin County Outer Loop Study and provide comments. Details about future meetings will be announced in local newspapers, project mailings and on the Collin County website, www.collincountytx.gov.
