Collin County Junior Livestock Show 2005 begins tomorrow

(McKinney, TX) – The Collin County Junior Livestock Association is pleased to present its annual Collin County Livestock Show on February 23rd through 26th at the Collin County Youth Park. The show consists of poultry, swine, horticulture, home economics, arts and crafts, shop projects, sheep, goats and cattle judging. Fourteen Collin County FFA chapters plus several 4-H clubs will be represented at the event. The participants will show their individual entries throughout the week and the show culminates with an auction and Bar-B-Q lunch on Saturday. The auction will reward the participants for a year of project development and livestock rearing.

Thursday, February 24
Rabbits, Livestock Judging Contest, Food, Breeding Swine, Market Swine

Friday, February 25
Steers, Heifers, Shop Projects

Saturday, February 26
Awards Presentation, Bar-B-Q, Auction

Also included in this year’s county show are amusement rides and activities located on the north side of the Youth Park.

The county show is an entertaining and educational event for the entire family. Admission is free, concessions and tickets for the Bar-B-Q and amusement rides are available on site.
