Natural Equine Expo set for Collin County Youth Park
(McKinney, TX) - The first of its kind Natural Equine Expo will be held
March 19th and 20th at the Collin County Youth Park in McKinney. Experts in
natural horse training, health care and sustainable pasture management will
present lectures and hands-on demonstrations.
Famed gentle-hands trainer Robert M. Liner of Equine in Line
(seen annually at the Texas State Fair in the Spirit of the Horse program)
will demonstrate his kind training methods. Liner has appeared on Animal
Planet, The View and a variety of other programs. The legendary
Red Roper (profiled recently in Mules & More magazine) and
his famed, award winning trained mules and movie stunt horse will entertain
the crowds. Steve Kutie, world class reining horse trainer, will present
Basics and Dressage with his world champion Andalusian, Ichibon DMF.
Lifelong trainers Michael Linderman and Nancy Butler will demonstrate
their unique, self-styled training methods. Lone Star Equine Rescue and private
owners will provide horses.
Sustainable pasture management experts Malcolm Beck, Walt Davis and Randy Mosley will teach and answer questions with their simple, informative programs and wealth of knowledge on soil health, native pasture plants and restoration. These world-class speakers travel all over the country to address organizations on this vital subject. Malcolm Beck and his wife, Delphine, founded Garden-Ville products four decades ago near San Antonio and now travel the country passing on their experience and advising organizations like the Texas Natural Resources Commission. Walt Davis is a renowned expert on pasture management and recovery and native plants in the southwest. Randy Mosley works with soil recovery programs on four continents.
Equine chiropractor Bill Ormston, DVM, will demonstrate horse chiropractics and Larry Kimberlin, DVM, will provide a program on equine dentistry. Programs will also be available by premier hoof care and shoeing specialist Derrick Cooke and Shari Frederick, author of Healthy Horse Hints (as seen in Equine Times and Natural Horse magazine), will speak on herbs for horses, aloe and equine nutrition.
Musical entertainment will be offered by blooming Texas star Alina Tatum both days, and Two Gathered (Ralph Baisden and Tony Haynes) will present a special Christian Cowboy Church Sunday morning that’s not to be missed! The Collin County 4-H Club will provide concessions as a charity fundraiser.
