Collin County convenience site opening changed for July

(McKinney, TX) - Because of the Fourth of July holiday weekend, Collin County's brush and bulky items collection site will be open on Saturday, July 9th instead of Saturday, July 2nd. Normally, the convenience site, located at the North Texas Municipal Water District in Melissa, is open on the first Saturday of each month. Regular days of operation will resume in August.

The hours of operation are 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

There is no charge for Collin County residents who use the site, but they will be required to show proof of residence. The county accepts general debris such as boards, limbs, mattresses and furniture. The county also accepts freon-charged appliances if the freon recovery certification is attached. Residents may also deposit six vehicle tires per household per year.
