Collin County offering free flu shots

(McKinney, TX) -- Collin County Health Care Services will offer free flu shots to ensure that more residents are protected before the height of flu season. Doses of FluMist®, a nasal spray vaccine, will be available at no cost through Wednesday February 1st. Flu shots will be available at no cost for the remainder of the season.

“Flu activity is widespread throughout the state of Texas, but we have not hit the peak yet,” says Collin County nurse epidemiologist Janet Glowicz. “It is not too late to get your flu shot.”

Flu vaccinations are given Monday through Friday from 8 am to 11 am and 1 pm to 4 pm. Vaccinations are open to all age groups. The health department is located at 825 N. McDonald Street in McKinney.
