Commissioner Joe Jaynes appointed to DRMC

(McKinney, TX) – The Collin County Commissioners Court appointed Joe Jaynes, Commissioner for Precinct 3, to the Dallas Regional Mobility Coalition (DRMC).

Created in 1989, the DRMC is a coalition of 26 cities and five counties including Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis and Rockwall. Commissioner Jaynes replaces Collin County Judge Ron Harris, who previously co-chaired the coalition with Dallas County Judge Margaret Keliher.

“I’m excited to be a part of this productive organization,” says Commissioner Jaynes. “This coalition is known for creating partnerships, and I will make certain to help maintain those efforts. We will continue to monitor any and all transportation-related issues considered by the state legislature and explore innovative ways to improve mobility throughout the Metroplex.”

The DRMC has been and continues to be a leader in efforts to improve incident removal and freeway management and to promote travel demand management, as well as in helping make other coalitions successful such as the Dallas/Fort Worth-Area Partners in Mobility, the Texas Urban Transportation Alliance and the Texas Clean Air Working Group.

Commissioner Jaynes has been a member of the Collin County Commissioners Court since 1997.
