Collin County Health Care Services offers extended hours for flu shots

(McKinney, TX) -- Collin County Health Care Services is offering influenza (flu) vaccinations to adults and children Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. In addition, Collin County Health Care Services will extend its hours on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 and Tuesday, November 21, 2006 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to give residents additional opportunity to receive the vaccine. The health department is located at 825 N. McDonald Street in McKinney.

Collin County Health Care Services will also host a flu vaccine outreach clinic at the Anna Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, November 18, 2006 from 9 am to 12 pm. The Anna Chamber of Commerce is located at 104 S. Powell Parkway, Suite B in Anna.

Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP are accepted; otherwise, the cost for the adult vaccination is $25. The cost for the children’s vaccine is based on a sliding scale fee, but the amount will not exceed $14 per dose. Cash and checks will be accepted.
