Collin County temporarily 'relocating' to Austin as hundreds of residents travel to the state's capitol
(McKinney, TX) - -A group of energized Collin County leaders and constituents will travel to Austin next month to discuss legislative issues with state elected officials. It is part of the biennial program, "Collin County Day in Austin," in which local elected officials, chamber representatives, business owners, education leaders and residents will speak with state lawmakers on February 19-20. An estimated 250 persons are expected to attend.
"This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate that we are serious about our relationship, our communication, and our cooperation with our State legislators and statewide officials," says Collin County Judge Keith Self.
