Collin County Sheriff's Office - Winner of 2010 Award for Excellence in Neighborhood Watch by National Sheriff's Association!

On May 11, 2010, the Collin County Sheriff's Office was selected as recipient of the 2010 Award for Excellence in Neighborhood Watch by the National Sheriff's Association. Recipient of the Award is chosen by National Sheriff's Association, Bureau of Justice Assistance Office, and U.S. Department of Justice. This award is presented each year to a law enforcement agency whose neighborhood crime watch program is deemed the most impressive from across the nation. Collin County Sheriff Terry G. Box received the award at the National Sheriff's Association Annual Conference and Exposition in Anaheim, California on June 29, 2010.

It is a great honor to have such a prestigious group of law enforcement officials recognizes the efforts of the Collin County Sheriff's Office, the Collin County Sheriff's Office Neighborhood & Business Crime Watches, and Collin County Citizens Academy Alumni Association/Citizens on Patrol. Sheriff Box expressed his gratitude for the hard work and efforts of the Collin County Sheriff's Office volunteers, crime watch members, and staff. He commented that "This is an outstanding accomplishment."
