The supervisors schedule and oversee department work.
Each of them have many years experience in the public works area
and are deeply qualified to oversee department activities.

Mike is responsible for road assessment, emergency management, solid waste,
recycling, acquiring right-of-way and utility relocation as well as
normal road maintenance activities.
He graduated from L.D. Bell in Hurst, Texas then
joined the U.S. Navy. After a stint with the city of Brownwood as a civil
engineer, he came to Collin County where he's been a superintendant for the past
18 years. "For me, I enjoy the people I work with and I get satisfaction from
finding solutions to the problems we face dealing with our roads." says Mike.
Assisting him are his foremen: Doug Graves and David Doan.

James's area of responsibility is
to oversee all road projects. These projects include new road construction
and any road conversions from dirt/rock to asphalt or from asphalt
to concrete. James started with the department as a truck driver and
has worked his way up to supervisor in his 16 years in the department.
A graduate of Bland High School in Merit, Texas, James has seen Collin
County grow and he's been involved in improving the roads ever since
he joined the department. "I enjoy the work involved in improving
roads. It gives me great satisfaction to see how we've improved our
roads.", says James. Working with him is Carla
Weiss (Right-Of-Way Coordinator) and Wayne
Anderson (Utility Inspector). Also assisting him as crew foremen:
Donny Honea, Keith Self and Bobby Jones. |
