The Collin County Purchasing Department is the recipient of the 2017 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award. Collin County is one of only 50 agencies in Texas and one of only 48 counties in the United States and Canada to receive the award. Collin County has received the award for fifteen (15) consecutive years.
The Achievement of Excellence in Procurement recognizes organizational excellence in public and non-profit procurement. The award criteria are designed to measure innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity, and leadership attributes of the procurement function. This program encourages the development of excellence as well as continued organizational improvement to earn the award annually.
