While this is not a replacement for dialing 911 in an emergency, this technology will allow interested persons to communicate potentially helpful information. When the Sheriff's Office receives the message, they can respond to the tipster who will continue to remain anonymous. The Collin County Sheriff's Office has no way to access the identity of the individual reporting the information.

Any one witnessing a crime in progess is encouraged to call 9-1-1 and report it immediately!

A new iPhone app, CCSO Tips, is now available through iTunes that enables the public to send anonymous tips to the Sheriff's Office and lets us respond, creating a two way anonymous chat. To download the app, go to the iTunes CCSO Tips App webpage.
