Restitution Center

The Restitution Center Program serves felony offenders who have serious financial delinquencies and have made little or no progress in the reduction of the delinquencies. Offenders must be physically and mentally able to maintain employment. They are court ordered for a term not to exceed 24 months.

Offenders excluded from the program are those who have:

  • Caused bodily injury, serious bodily injury, or death to others as a result of the commission of their offenses
  • Used a deadly weapon
  • Been convicted of a felony offense under Title 5 of the Penal Code

Participants are required to maintain full time employment. Time not working is spent performing community service restitution work or attending classes or counseling.

Classes Offered:

  • Life skills
  • Behavioral Attitudes
  • Substance Abuse Education
  • Adult Education

Career Counseling and placement are also available.

Program success is based upon participants’ positive behavior and performance in classes and counseling, history of stable employment and elimination or significant reduction in financial delinquencies. Ninety days prior to release, participants must have established and maintained a savings account and remained violation free.
