We started to look and discovered our faults;
We worked real hard until the blame came to a halt.
We started to change for better rather than worse,
It dawned on our minds that this program does work.
We still have the cravings and thoughts about drugs,
With our new tools and knowledge we bear them so smug.
We still have our up's and we still have our downs,
We are strong enough now we're not gonna drown.
We're now on the path to be on our way,
Our support group we'll use … day to day.
We'll take our lives moment by moment until they are over,
We now know the best life is the life that is sober
