The Tax Assessor accepts the following methods of payment:
- Cash
- Cashier Check
- Money Order
- Travelers Check
- Personal Check (if the requirements are met)
Collin County will accept a check at the counter if the following requirements are met:
The current driver's liscense and pre-printed check information must match the current state vehicle RTS computer information.
- Customer must have a current address on the state vehicle record (RTS computer system.) The state computer system allows for three current addresses if applicable - owner, mailing, and vehicle location address.
- Customer must have a current valid driver's license with same address as shown on state record.
- The check must be pre-printed with the same current address as shown on state record.
If the information does not match (is not current), the registration sticker will be mailed to you, or you should pay in cash.
