PROFESSION: Ordained minister, Christian Methodist Episcopal Church 1954, retired 1998. Held dual standing in United Church of Christ from 1993 to 1997. Recently retired as part-time Parish assistant, Trinity Presbyterian Church McKinney, Texas.

EDUCATION: Masters of Divinity: Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, 1958. Bachelor of Arts: Texas College, Tyler, Texas, 1955. Command and General Staff College: US Army, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, 1954. High School Diploma: Carver Colored School, Pampa, Texas, 1952

EXPERIENCE: Boys Work Secretary Moorland Branch YMCA, Dallas, Texas. Military Chaplain 1963-1990, retired with rank of Colonel. Pastor of Congregations in: Miami, Florida, Little Rock, Arkansas, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Plano Texas. Executive Dir of the Samaritan Inn/Collin County Care Center (shelter for the homeless).

AWARDS AND DECORATIONS: Military: Defense Superior Service Medal Legion of Merit with two oak leaf clusters Bronze Star Medal with "V" for valor and two oak leaf clusters, Purple Heart with oak leaf cluster Air Medal Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal Civilian: NAACP'S "ROY WILKINS MERITORIOUS AWARD" for human relations in the military. Freedom Foundation's "AMERICAN EXEMPLAR AWARD" Olympic Torch Bearer in 1996. Daughters of the American revolution "COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD. Greater Dallas United Way's " SPEAKER OF THE YEAR".
