Collin County Election officials will hold a public test of voting machines — known as a logic and accuracy test — on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at 9 a.m., at the county’s Elections Department, 2010 Redbud Blvd., Suite 102. The public is invited.
Texas law requires public testing of the voting system before every election to ensure it is calibrated correctly and counts votes accurately. The purpose of the logic and accuracy test is to verify that ballots are read properly and that tabulation equipment is functioning as required for the upcoming election on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025.
In addition to the required test on Oct. 10, the Elections staff will also host a public demonstration of Collin County’s new hand-marked paper ballot voting method. Members of the public will have the opportunity to cast test ballots, observe how the ballots are tabulated, and compare a hand count of ballots against the totals recorded by the system.
