The mpox (monkeypox) virus is continuing to spread throughout Texas The JYNNEOS vaccine is used to help prevent an individual from contracting the monkeypox virus and is not used as a treatment for currently infected individuals.

​To receive the JYNNEOS vaccine please contact the Collin County Immunizations Clinic at 972-548-4744 to schedule an appointment. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are monitoring the national situation surrounding a recent increase in mpox (monkeypox) cases in the United States. You can keep up with the latest information about necessary safety measures and more concerning monkeypox by visiting the CDC's website

Health Care Providers and mpox (monkeypox)

Health care providers can now order testing through commercial labs, such as Labcorp, Quest and ARUP to test patients for mpox (monkeypox). Please follow the commercial lab's recommendations for specimen collection and shipping. If you have a patient that you plan to test, please submit information about the patient to Collin County Health Care Services' secure, HIPAA compliant online reporting form by clicking here.
