Effective 4:30 p.m., March 20, 2020, in response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Collin County Clerk will temporarily suspend walk-in services for our Plano location. Requests for birth certificates, death certificates and certified copies of marriage records can be requested by mail.

Effective 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2020 we will no longer schedule appointments for marriage licenses. This is in an effort to protect our employees and the citizens we serve.

  • Vital Statistics: Requests for birth certificates, death certificates, assumed names and certified copies of marriage records may be submitted by mail.  Applications for birth records and death records must be notarized and include a legible copy of your government issued photo ID as well as exact payment in the form of a money order, check or cashier's check.
