Statement Regarding August 14 Warrant Service in Princeton

On Friday, August 14, 2026, Collin County Sheriff’s deputies served a felony arrest warrant for Sexual Assault of a Child in Princeton at the request of the Princeton Police Department.

Prior to serving the warrant, deputies conducted surveillance of the residence and surrounding area for approximately 30 to 40 minutes. During that time, deputies observed a small white dog loose and running in the neighborhood. The dog belonged to a neighboring residence and was observed prior to deputies approaching or entering the house where the warrant was served.

During the surveillance, deputies observed individuals searching for the dog and provided them with the direction in which deputies had last seen the dog running.

Deputies then served the warrant and took Issac Harris into custody on the warrant above. During the arrest, Trevon Harrison was also arrested for Interference with Public Duties after attempting to interfere with deputies as Harris was taken into custody.

The Sheriff’s Office later learned, through social media reports, that the dog they had seen in the neighborhood had been struck and killed by a vehicle.

 We understand that the loss of a precious family pet is traumatic and very difficult. We wish to convey our condolences to the dog’s owner and family over the loss of their little companion.
