SPECIAL NOTICE: The Fire Marshal’s Office and Development Services Offices are open for business and we are here to serve you. In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we will be making appointments so that we can better serve you while continuing to ensure the health of all involved. Beginning on Monday, March 23, 2020, anyone wishing to visit the Fire Marshal’s Office or Development Services will need to call ‪(469) 907-4108 and leave a message. During regular business hours (M-F 7:30 a.m.- 4 p.m.) your call will be promptly returned to schedule your appointment. 

Both offices will also be accepting electronic/emailed application packets at this time for your convenience.  Email your completed Fire Marshal application packets to:  fmadmin@co.collin.tx.us and email your completed Development Services application packets to: DevelopmentServices@co.collin.tx.us

Our Mission

The Collin County Fire Marshal’s Office mission is to prevent and reduce the incidence of fire by increasing the awareness and knowledge of residents and businesses and by respecting fire safety and ensuring compliance with the International Fire Code. This mission is accomplished through fire prevention education, fire investigations, and compliance inspections. It is the Fire Marshal’s Office goal to keep Collin County a safe place in which to live, work, visit, and raise a family.
