Notice: The Collin County Commissioners Court voted May 29 in special session to have the Department of State Health Services perform all COVID-19 case investigation and contact tracing activities for Collin County's local health authority. Collin County is accessing the state system to obtain data and reports for local jurisdictions.
June 15, 2020:
Beginning June 15, the county turned to the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council’s daily snapshots of general and ICU bed occupancy counts for confirmed COVID-19 patients. These numbers are an aggregate of reports compiled five days a week from 25 general and speciality hospitals in Collin County and licensed by Texas Health and Human Services.

As of 12 a.m. June 1, the Department of State Health Services assumed responsibility for all NEW COVID-19 case investigation and contact tracing activities for Collin County's local health authority. Collin County will be able to access the state system to obtain data and reports for its jurisdiction. This new system will not be reporting out so-called 'probable' cases -- only confirmed cases of COVID-19 from positive lab test results. The county will continue to report COVID-19 related deaths.
