NOTE: The office of Judge Chuck Ruckel will close at noon on Friday, Dec. 11 and remain closed due to the merging of JP3-1 and JP3-2 as well as the retirement of Judge Ruckel. Justice Court 3, under Judge Missildine, will reopen on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021. All Justice Court 3-1 cases will be transferred to Justice Court 3 and any questions or problems should be addressed with that Court.
New civil filings, requests for process, and records request can be mailed to the office at 920 E. Park Blvd, Suite 210 Plano, TX 75074 or dropped off in the red drop-box outside of the building but they will not be processed until after Jan. 4, 2021; this will also include processing payments which should be in the form of a money order or cashiers check.

Due to health and safety concerns regarding COVID-19 the Texas Supreme Court along with the Office of Court Administration has ordered that we shall not have person to person trials until further notice.
All Collin County Justice Courts are operating through electronic media until authorized to resume normal court operations by the Texas Supreme Court.

DO NOT attempt to contact the Judge by mail, e-mail, phone or in person regarding any pending criminal or civil matter. Doing so is considered ex parte and may result in serious consequences.
Courtroom Dress Code: When coming to Court you should dress appropriately. Proper dress for men consists of long pants, a shirt with a collar and shoes. Women should wear a dress, skirt or long pants with a modest top and shoes. It is not appropriate to wear a hat.
